To look up general reports or identify trends such as Best Selling Products, use the Reports option. But, if you'd like more in-depth and tailored data to form comparisons or analyze specific groups, use Pivot Tables.
Step 1: Go to the Dashboard & Analytics tab from the menu on the left.
Step 2: Select the Pivot option from the menu at the top of the Dashboards window.
Step 3: Next, choose whether you'd like to generate data from Invoices, Orders, Estimates, or Forms. Invoices will be selected by default if no other choice is entered.
Step 4: Now specify the range of dates you want to use to retrieve the data. When clicking on the lines for From and To, a calendar will appear allowing for easy input.
Step 5: With our range of dates selected, hit Run to open the expanded range of variables.
Step 6: There will be plenty of options popping up, so be sure to keep your report simple by only choosing the variables necessary for your data. In this case, we want to find out which customers bought which items.
Drag the bars for Customer and Item over to the column in the middle.
This data would result in a list showing every item purchased by every customer (only counting Invoices for the range of dates).
