1. Access Template Settings:
• Log into inSitu Sales.
• Navigate to Sales module admin.
• Go to PDF and Printer templates.
2. Select Template:
• Choose the type of document template you want to modify (e.g., invoices, orders, estimates, etc).
3. Edit Template version (PDF or Thermal printer):
• Select the version to modify, PDF works for email or printing in Letter Size printers. Thermal works for mobile printers like Zebra, Bixolon, etc.
• Use the editor to modify elements such as layout, text fields, variables, and formatting.
4. Add or Remove Fields:
• Add new fields or remove existing ones as needed.
• Use placeholders for dynamic content (e.g., customer names, addresses, item lists). The placeholders available are located on the right hand side. i.e.: {{product_name}}
5. Preview Changes:
• Preview the changes to ensure the template looks as expected.
• Make additional adjustments if necessary.
6. Save Template:
• Click Save to apply your changes.
• The new template will be used for generating PDFs or thermal printer receipts moving forward.
7. Test Template:
• Generate a test document to ensure the template works correctly with your data.
